Holistic Health and Functional Medicine Start at the Table
Moorpark most likely takes its name from the Moorpark apricot, so a fruit is where the town's story starts. Ours starts with food, too. Before we order a test or suggest a supplement, we want to know what you eat, how you digest it, and how you feel afterward.
Complete Health Institute is at 28247 Agoura Rd. in
Agoura Hills, and we do not have a Moorpark office. Moorpark sits in Ventura County, just west of Simi Valley. Dr. Teresa Rispoli begins most plans with a Zoom call, then adds clinic visits when a service needs them.
We use functional medicine to look for underlying causes of symptoms, and we work alongside your current doctors.

Functional Nutrition: A Plan Built Around Your Plate
A functional nutrition visit is a conversation, not a questionnaire handed back to you. Dr. Rispoli reviews your history, symptoms, and goals, and looks at how diet, gut health, hormone levels, sleep, and stress interact. Your plan may include personalized nutrition guidance, targeted supplements, and natural hormone balancing.
The one-hour virtual consultation runs over Zoom. You complete a new client history, a metabolic assessment, and consent forms first, and you name the four to six concerns that matter most.
People often come to us with digestive problems, low energy, skin trouble, or weight that will not change.

Lab Tests That Look at Food, Gut, and Nutrients
Our lab tests use samples you collect at home. These are the ones that fit a food-first plan:
- Food sensitivity. The 240-food panel uses a finger-prick blood spot card, and we schedule a call to go over what the results mean.
- Gut function. The GI-MAP stool test looks at bacteria, yeast, parasites, digestion, and inflammation, and results arrive within about two weeks.
- Nutritional status. Vitamins, minerals, amino acids, heavy metals, and vitamin D.
- Hormones. Thyroid, adrenal, sex hormones, and insulin.
Insurance often does not cover expanded testing, so check with us before you order.

Gut Fix Program and Colon Hydrotherapy
The Gut Fix Program and colon hydrotherapy fits people with gas, bloating, constipation, and fatigue. It runs for six weeks:
- Week one begins with an hour. The Initial Wellness Consultation sets your starting point.
- Every week has two parts. A 30-minute session covers diet, lifestyle, and supplements, and a colonic follows.
- Labs are optional. They are recommended but not included.
We ask you to fast for an hour before each colonic, skip gas-forming foods for a few days, and arrive 15 minutes early. If you have been told your symptoms are IBS,
SIBO and IBS call for different tests.

Weight Loss and Body Sculpting
- Metabolic Reset & Weight Loss starts with a one-hour consultation, then weekly follow-ups, supplement recommendations, and Healing Contour Light Therapy.
- Ultrasonic cavitation is non-invasive and uses micro-current, radio frequency, red light, and constant temperature. Sessions run twice a week for six weeks.
- LipoMelt uses near-infrared light, and it is
sold for temporary circumference reduction, not significant weight loss. No result is guaranteed, and we go over your health history before any session.

Anti-Aging and Skin Care
Our anti-aging care covers skin, hormones, and body wellness.
- Micro needling stimulates collagen and elastin, and we recommend four sessions, three to four weeks apart.
- Skin and aesthetics includes custom facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and radiofrequency skin tightening.
- EndermoLift is a non-surgical firming treatment that uses micro-pulsations and massage, with no surgery, injections, or chemicals.

Spa Packages and CEDS
Our spa packages combine treatments such as a facial, massage, and reflexology, lymph drainage with a collagen mask, and scrubs and wraps.
CEDS is a computerized screening that is pain-free and non-invasive. It is a wellness screening, not a diagnosis.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does a functional nutritionist do?
A functional nutritionist reviews your health history, symptoms, and goals, then looks at how your diet, gut, hormones, sleep, and stress connect. At our practice, the plan may include nutrition guidance, targeted supplements, and lab tests, and it is adjusted over time.
How does a food sensitivity test work?
You collect a finger-prick blood spot at home and mail it back. Our panel tests 240 foods, and we schedule a call to explain the results. A food sensitivity panel is not a diagnosis, so we use it alongside your history.
What are the signs of an unhealthy gut?
Gas, bloating, constipation, and fatigue are the concerns that bring many people to our Gut Fix Program. New or severe symptoms, unintentional weight loss, or blood in the stool call for prompt medical evaluation first.
How often can you get a chemical peel?
We recommend a series of four peels, spaced three to four weeks apart. Results vary by person.
Does functional medicine include hormone testing?
Yes. We offer hormone panels for thyroid, adrenal, sex hormones, and insulin, including a saliva-based adrenal stress profile. Dr. Rispoli reviews the results with you.
