Allergy
and adverse food reactions can trigger various types of headaches.
Mansfield and others found that over 70% of migraine sufferers exhibited
at least one reaction provoked by food. Many found relief from their
symptoms on a special diet. They advised that IgE testing be used
to determine those patients most likely to benefit from diet therapy.1
Pediatric
specialists from the Department of Neurology at the Hospital for
Sick Children in London have performed a number of studies on migraines
in children over the years. In one study, they found that 93% of
children improved with a diet that avoided offending foods.2 Later
they examined 45 children having
epilepsy with migraine and/or hyperkinetic
behavior. After eliminating reactive
foods, headaches, seizures, and hyperkinetic
behavior were eradicated in 25 children
and reduced in 11 children.3
By
measuring IgE and IgG antibody levels to over 120 foods and inhalants,
the Comprehensive
Antibody Assessment provides a safe, rapid and convenient method
for determining immediate and/or delayed immune reactions that may
be triggering recurring headache symptoms.
